Mike Figgis

Jonas Mekas, a seminal figure in the Art world, one of the founders of the Fluxus movement in NY. JM and I became friends a few years ago and I was anxious to talk to him about the NY scene, his experience of it arriving with his brother after WW2 (having spent years in a forced labour camp) - also he talks about his paticular mode of 'recording life' with a movie camera. I talk to him in his apartment in Brooklyn where he is surrounded by his archives.
