MR JONES (EXCERPT FROM DIRECTOR’S CUT)
THis was a very tough film to make - I fell out with Hollywood producer/Despot RAY STARK and he made it his business to screw me and the film. I stuck it out for as long as I could, a lot of abuse, finally locked out of my edit room and the film re cut and re-shot by committee.
But this, from my cut, I loved.
Amazing long stedi-cam shot which unfortunately psycho editor Gabriella Christiani felt compelled to cut into (we havent spoken since)
Mr Jones (Gere) is a having a fully blown Manic episode and loses it at a concert of Beethoven 9th
Quality is not great...but its watchable
